Uplifting the National Sport – Volleyball

Munchee Samaga Ekwemu Jathika Kreedawata

Together with the Ministry of Sports and the National Volleyball Federation of Sri Lanka, CBL under its flagship brand Munchee, took up the task of uplifting the national sport. Munchee launched itself into the game with a 360° integrated communications campaign using ATL and BTL promotional tools. In its first year (2006/07) participation increased by almost 200% with over 2,500 teams compared to the previous 900 teams. The continued development over the years has resulted in over 4,700 teams participating in the tournament.
