CBL dominates the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2014


Ceylon Biscuits Limited (CBL) has once again won the highest number of awards at the SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2014 which concluded recently at the BMICH. CBL secured 8 awards including two GOLD awards. The company proved its superiority and excellence over a record number of contesting brands this year.

CBL’s KOME and SAMAPOSHA brands took home the Gold award for Innovative Brand of the Year and Best CSR Brand of the Year respectively. Also this is the 5th consecutive win for CBL for CSR Brand of the Year.


In addition, the other awards are: 2 Silver awards for SAMAPOSHA Product Brand of the Year and Local Brand of the Year. The Bronze awards totaling 4 are for SAMAPOSHA and LANKASOY – both for Innovative Brand of the Year, MUNCHEE – CSR Brand of the Year and KOME – Best New Entrant Brand.
